As a young child growing up in the 60s, I remember sitting cross-legged in front of the TV watching Worlds at War on weekends. The graphic images of naked holocaust victims being bulldozed into ditches left an indelible impression on a very impressionable eleven-year-old. At the time, I thought such inhumanity could never be repeated. I was naive. Atrocities against people of other religions, nationalities, different races, and sexual orientation still occur and the world looks away just as it did in the 1930s. Sara's books put a family face and human story backed by documentation to holocaust tragedy. Please consider reading her books and contemplating a world of peace rather than hatred.
